I started writing poetry at age 11 to try and understand the world around and within me. My work naturally evolved from poetry to painting. It reflects the human experience, capturing both the peaks of sheer bliss and the valleys of extreme conflict. I am fascinated with symbols that stimulate psychological, often subconscious meanings and associations.

The simplified cryptographs I use mask the deeper and often intense meaning behind my work. In my pieces, I strive to capture raw personal feelings and to comprehend the dualities that exist in my life. Beneath the refined lines of my symbols and poetry lies a spontaneous, organic form; often signifying the random nature of environments, emotions and thought.
